Common sense in life.
As long as we pay attention, we can find "tips" on energy conservation and emission reduction in clothing, food, shelter, travel and use. They are simple, easy to operate, no technical constraints, and everyone can do it. The author has collected some life energy saving common sense, with everybody from the side start.
Buy fewer unnecessary clothes.
In the process of production, processing and transportation, clothing consumes a lot of energy and produces pollutants such as waste gas and waste water. Under the premise of ensuring life, each person will buy less than one unnecessary garment each year to save about 2.5kg of standard coal, and the corresponding carbon dioxide emissions will be 6.4kg. If 25 million people do this every year, they can save about 6.25 million tons of standard coal and 160,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
Turn off the air conditioner a few minutes early.
The temperature in an air-conditioned room will not rise immediately due to an air conditioning shutdown. Turn off the air conditioning 3 minutes before going out, according to the conservative estimate of about 5 degrees per year, the corresponding reduction of carbon dioxide is 4.8 kg. If this measure is adopted for 150 million air conditioners across the country, it will save about 750 million kilowatt-hours of electricity a year and reduce co2 emissions by 720, 000 tons.
Turn off the lights at home.
Make it a good habit to turn off the lights at home. Each household can save about 4.9 degrees of electricity each year. If the country's 390 million households can do that, it could save about 1.96 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity a year. Carbon dioxide is 1.88 million tons.
Soak the rice for ten minutes.
Wash rice in advance and soak for 10 minutes, then cook it in a rice cooker, which can shorten the time of rice and save about 10%. Each household can save 4.5 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, with a corresponding reduction of 4.3 kg of carbon dioxide emissions. If the country's 180 million urban households do so, it would save 800 million kilowatt-years of electricity a year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 780,000 tons.
Turn down the TV screen brightness.
The TV screen is set to medium brightness, which can achieve the most comfortable visual effect and save electricity. The annual energy saving of each TV set is about 5.5 degrees, and the corresponding carbon dioxide emission is 5.3 kg. If the measure is taken on about 350 million televisions held across the country, the country could save about 1.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity a year and reduce emissions by 1.84 million tons.
Shower instead of bath.
Bath is extremely water bath way, if use the shower instead, each person can water-saving 170 litres, at the same time reduce the same amount of sewage discharge, energy saving 3.1 kg of standard coal, carbon dioxide emissions 8.1 kg accordingly. If the country's 10 million baths users can do this, the country can save about 5.74 million tons of standard coal each year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 14.75 million tons.
